First Search is available free to GIAL cardholders and can be remotely accessed within the United States at http://newfirstsearch.oclc.org. You may apply by visiting the GIAL Library or mailing in a filled out application. Click here for a library card application. You may copy this to a Word file, fill it out and attach it to an e-mail to library_dallas@gial.edu, or print it out and mail to: GIAL Library, 7500 W. Camp Wisdom Rd., Dallas, TX 75236. We will respond by e-mailing you the access number and semester password. Please e-mail us each semester to obtain the new semester’s password.

ATLA (The American Theological Library Association's database) includes topics in Biblical studies, theology, world religions, religion and culture.The title list of journals indexed as bibliographic citations in the ATLA Religion Database can be found here: ftp://ftp.atla.com/public/comprehensive_2006-01-24.pdf

St. Jerome's Translation Studies Abtracts http://www.stjerome.co.uk/tsaonline/index.php offers comprehensive resources for students.researchers, and teachers of translation and intercultural studies. Available on campus only.

Linguistics Abstracts http://www.linguisticsabstracts.com provides 30,000 abstract from nearly 400 linguistic journals published since 1985. Available on campus only.

LLBA (Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts) is available on campus. To access, type in the URL address http://www.csa.com Enter user name and password. Please e-mail library_dallas@gial.edu for current user name and password. Available on campus only.

EBSCO is available free to GIAL cardholders and can be remotely accessed at http://search.ebscohost.com by user name and password. Remote access is permitted to GIAL Library patrons for personal non-commercial use.

MLA (Modern Language Association Bibliography) is included in Ebsco. It covers linguistics and applied linguistics, as well as language and topics in folklore.
