Who May Use the GIAL Library?

GIAL Library cards are available to all GIAL faculty and students, members of Bible translation organizations, and International Linguistics Center employees and volunteers. Click here for Library card application.

Cooperative agreements are in effect with some local institutions.

SWATLA Borrowers

Anyone is welcome to use the library for reference work.

What if I am Ineligible for a Card?

  1. Try using an Inter-Library Loan (ILL) request through your local public or university library.
  2. Purchase a fee card for $25 entitling you to check out 25 items over the life of that card.

I am located outside the United States. Can you ship me materials?
The GIAL Library will ship original materials within the U.S.A. and Canada. If copyright allows, we are willing to make photocopies and mail them anywhere (5 cents per page plus shipping costs). If you obtain publisher's permission, we can scan items to transmit them to you electronically. (See Services to Distant Users.)
