Gateway Admission Requirements
Gateway to GIAL application
Official copy of the final transcript from the last school where courses were taken toward a degree.
To qualify to take any undergraduate courses or up to 6 semester hours of graduate level courses at GIAL, this transcript should show at least 60 credit hours of undergraduate study with at least a 2.8 cumulative GPA.
To qualify to take more than 6 semester hours of graduate level courses at GIAL, this transcript should show the equivalent of an earned B.A. or M.A. degree with at least a 2.8 cumulative GPA.
Official academic records from outside the United States do
not
need be sent to a credential evaluation service, but an English translation of the transcript should be provided along with the transcript, as needed.

For non-native speakers of English, evidence of satisfactory proficiency in English must be provided. Recent
TOEFL
or IELTS scores are preferred.
