Classification of Students

Graduate Degree Students: Students wishing to complete a degree at GIAL should apply for full Graduate Admission. Students who have not completed the GRE, may apply for Limited Enrollment Admission which allows them to take the first 15 hours of their degree program before having to upgrade to Graduate Admission.
Non-Degree Students: Students wishing to take a limited number of hours may apply for Limited Enrollment Admission.
Certificate Students: Most certificate students will apply for either Graduate or Limited Enrollment Admission. However the Certificate classes are open to students who have completed at least 60 hours of undergraduate credit. Students who have not completed a bachelor’s degree should apply for Undergraduate Admission.
International Students: GIAL is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students. They may apply for either the Certificate Program or for the Graduate Programs.
