International Students
An international student may apply for Gateway Admission,   Undergraduate Admission , or Graduate Admission, whichever is most appropriate to their intended program at GIAL.
The instructions below are for students coming to the GIAL campus who will require a student visa (F-1 or J-1). Their application paperwork will be handled by the International Student Center (ISC) at GIAL.

International applicants who will not need a student visa, such as an online only student, should go to Gateway Admission,  Undergraduate Admission , or Graduate Admission for application/admission information. If you are unsure whether you will need a student visa or not to be enrolled at GIAL, please contact Maggie or Christy in the International Student Center office (isc@gial.edu).

You may pay the admission fee online via Paypal. Click here to pay online.

Additional Requirements for Admission:

  1. Complete and submit Supplement for International Application.

  2. Follow Instructions for Financial Statement and Certificate of Sponsorship.
Complete and submit International Student Financial Statement and all supporting documents.
If extended family members or other sponsors are contributing to your financial support, request that they complete and submit the Certificate of Sponsorship (“Sponsor Form”).

  3. Complete and submit Medical History form. Complete and sign pages 1-3; the 4th page needs to be signed now, but will be filled out soon after your arrival in the US.

  4. Complete and submit a photocopy or scanned copy of the ID page of your passport.

Additional Requirements upon arrival:
  1. Provide proof of currrent health insurance coverage suitable for internationals.
  2. Deposit with GIAL an amount determined to be sufficient to cover transportation home for the student (and the student's accompanying family, if any). The unused portion of this deposited amount will be returned to the student at the end of his studies at GIAL.
  3. Within the first two weeks of classes, present to GIAL current tuberculosis skin test results for the student (and the student's dependents, as appropriate).

Financial Responsibility

In order to be certified for a student visa, all international students must verify ability to cover all reasonable expenses associated with living and studying at GIAL. Our International Student Financial Statement is the only form we use for this process. You may also have someone submit a Certificate of Sponsorship on your behalf. In order to help students complete this form, the following table should assist you in knowing GIAL costs.
