The King’s Scholarship
When Nehemiah learned that the walls of Jerusalem lay in ruin,
he prayed for several months. Then the King of Babylon, whom he
served in exile, questioned his sadness so he asked to go back
and rebuild the walls. The King responded by not only sending Nehemiah
but by providing the supplies needed and an escort for protection
as well. What a help the King was!
Today we serve another king, The King of the Universe. He is
our help and He, too, enlists others to serve. With this in mind,
GIAL has named this scholarship The King's Scholarship. The scholarship
is designed to help our students who have begun their studies and
are struggling to continue due to a lack of funds.
Eligibility
The applicant must:
- be fully admitted to GIAL.
- have completed at least one bimester of GIAL
- maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of a least 3.00
on a bimester and cumulative basis
- demonstrate financial need which threatens his/her continuing
as a student.
Scholarship Amounts
Scholarships will be awarded as funds are available for up $500.00
per person per bimester and are granted for tuition only. Students
may apply only once during a bimester but may apply again in subsequent
bimesters if further need arises.

To apply, students must fill out the required
forms and submit
them to the Dean of Students.
Disbursements
Scholarship payments will normally be made at the start of a
session. All applications will be held for a full bimester and
disbursements will be made as funds are available.
All scholarship recipients will receive a letter outlining the
terms and conditions of the scholarship, including the following:
“If you have any questions regarding the taxability
