Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics
(Bible Translation concentration, in partnership with Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, SBTS)

GIAL offers a dual degree program in conjunction with Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS). These students will be completing the MA in Applied Linguistics with a Bible Translation concentration here at GIAL. Students must complete both components below, i.e., 19 hours at GIAL and 73 hours at SBTS.

IMPORTANT: The plan of study should be planned carefully in consultation with advisors from the Graduate Institute in Applied Linguistics and the Billy Graham School at SBTS.

Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics (GIAL)

IMPORTANT: The GIAL Certificate in Applied Linguistics (21 undergraduate hrs. + AL5406 & AL5207 = 27 hrs.) must be completed for admission into the Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics (GIAL catalog, 17-20). These hours may be completed prior or subsequent to the 73 hours from SBTS, but MUST be completed prior to enrolling in the following graduate level courses.
