AL 5320 Translation Consulting Skills (TBA)

(3 semester hours)
Note: This course is recommended only for students with field experience.

After completing this course, the student will be able to describe the tasks and responsibilities of a translation consultant, as well as the techniques used for (1) training and guiding a translation team and (2) checking Bible translations for exegetical accuracy, communicative effectiveness, and naturalness in the receptor language. They will have applied these techniques, and worked alongside at least two experienced translation consultants.
