God has uniquely prepared Katie to serve in her position at GIAL. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education, continuing her studies afterwards with a master’s degree in Organ Performance. Subsequently, she worked for four years in the Netherlands as a secondary school English and music teacher. Following her time in this role, Katie moved to Israel to teach junior high English while studying TESOL at Tel Aviv University. Upon completion of her master’s degree there, she returned to the United States. Katie then studied World Arts at GIAL, earning her third master’s degree in 2013. Her experience during this time both as a teaching assistant and a work-study student further prepared her for positions as Associate Dean of Students, Dean of Students, and now Associate Director of CEWA. Through her time teaching and studying both stateside and abroad, God has clearly equipped Katie for her role in helping students acquire training for cross-cultural service.
